Tidalwalk Community
Tidalwalk is a private and gated seaside community which offers all the luxuries of living in a planned neighborhood but is a just a short distance from Carolina, Kure, and Wrightsville beaches. Located on the intracoastal waterway, Tidalwalk is one hundred acres of coastal forest hemmed with a white sandy beach.
The visionaries conceived a coastal retreat concept that is evident in both the architecture and the amenities. A sandy beach, open to all residents, affords a leisurely stroll to watch the sun rise....or maybe you'd rather sit atop the Island Club and view the boat traffic and Masonboro Island. The three story clubhouse has a 1200 square foot main room with a fireplace and bar that opens to a screened porch and decks. The fitness room will also have a deck overlooking the water. A neighborhood pool offers a cool dip after hot summer days. Nine boat slips are available for purchase if boating is in your future. Additional dry and wet slips are available at Inlet Watch Marina next door. Access by boat is convenient from the Atlantic Ocean via the Intracoastal waterway and Carolina Beach Inlet.
One of the main objectives of the developer was to preserve the natural beauty, environment, and wildlife of this wetland area's delicate ecosystem. Thirty seven percent of the land is dedicated to conservation. The main roads were planned to save as many of the large oak trees as possible. Green building is encouraged and home plans will need to adhere to strict architectural and environmental guidelines.
According to the developer, Tidalwalk will be the only development this far south in New Hanover county to have natural gas.
The community encourages golf carts. There will be 10 golf cart parking spaces at the Island Clubhouse.
With amenities like these, living in Tidalwalk is like being on a permanent vacation!
So....if you love coastal architecture, waterfront living, fabulous amenities, and conservation of natural resources, Tidalwalk is definitely the lifestyle you have been seeking. Tidalwalk is one of the last waterfront communities to be developed in Wilmington.
